Blue Bell Margarine Baking Workshop – Brunei

East Asia Palm Products organized a two-day baking workshop in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, in collaboration with Le Apple Bakery Mart and Baking Industry Training Centre (BITC) on 9th & 10th November 2012. The purpose of the workshop is demonstrates the company’s focus of Nourishing Foods For Our Community through enriching baking knowledge using Blue Bell Margarine, a healthier alternative to Butter.

The workshop showcased EAPP’s value added bakery fats products focusing on two key ingredients Blue Bell Margarine and Gold Box Shortening.

The event was attended by baking enthusiasts and representatives of local bakeries.

During the workshop, the participants learnt how to bake sweet treats such as Japanese Green Tea Red Bean and Strawberry Swiss Roll, Doughnuts with white chocolate green tea glaze and strawberry fondant. They also learnt how to make two savoury quiches unique to Brunei, a grilled vegetable with smoked chicken and Sarawak Laksa.

A certificate of attendance was given to all the participants of the event.

EAPP Soft Margarine offers a healthier alternative to butter because it does not contain Cholesterol & Trans-Fat. Furthermore, it contain higher amount of poly-unsaturated and mono-unsaturated fats than Butter where studies have found to may reduce heart related diseases.
